世界インダストリアルデザインの日（WIDD 2026）「let’s talk resilience」に、代表 太刀川英輔が登壇

Eisuke Tachikawa, CEO of NOSIGNER, spoke at “let’s talk resilience,” a featured program of “World Industrial Design Day (WIDD) 2026” hosted by the World Design Organization (WDO), as part of his official activities with the Japan Industrial Design Association (JIDA).

This international event serves as a global platform for dialogue, bringing together design leaders from around the world to share their insights and practices on this year’s central theme, “Resilience.” The event is being live-streamed globally on the WDO’s official YouTube channel starting today, June 29.

Through numerous projects focusing on disaster mitigation design both in Japan and internationally, NOSIGNER has directly explored the essence of resilience. In this program, Tachikawa delivers a presentation via a pre-recorded video, sharing his unique approach to “Design for Resilience” rooted in “Evolutional CreativityEvolutional Creativity_“, drawing upon insights from Japan—a country frequently affected by natural disasters—and incorporating approximately two decades of hands-on practice.

The presentation spotlights a range of NOSIGNER’s flagship “Design for Resilience” initiatives. These span from “OLIVEOLIVE_,” an open-source disaster preparedness platform launched in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, to “TOKYO BOUSAITOKYO BOUSAI_,” a comprehensive disaster preparedness guidebook developed in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. In an era marked by the growing threats of climate change and natural disasters, the presentation highlights how design can enhance social resilience and build a sustainable future.
