This installation at Kobe Biennale 2007 is a recollection of your old memory. Do you recall using a red underlay to remember while studying in school? This installation holds the same mechanism to collect your oldest memory. There are red pens in the white room behind the entrance made by red acrylic board. You can write ‘your oldest memory’ anywhere in the room using these pens. You cannot see what you write from outside because of the red acrylic entrance. The color of the lighting in the room changes from white to red at a slow speed. While changing the color of the lighting, gradually you cannot read what you write, and you must remember it instead of reading it. ‘ ’ means your most important memory, the oldest in your life.
